On September 26, 2004, in Arlington, Washington, Ken Burdick put on the Top Dog 3, a celebration of diversity. There were four events:
Mel Lyne dukes it out The freestyle stunt portion was excellent, with Mel Lyne flying two planes against each other in a combat match, complete with line tangles, recoveries, cuts, and a kill. Dave Pellerin (the Top Dog) flew a plane with his foot while juggling three clubs.

The featured contestant in the 4th event The melee involved 6 (simultaneous) flyers and a bee in two overlapping circles. While Mel managed to get himself DQ'd, despite the lack of any actual rules, Bob Smith bellcranked the pinata.
Hmmmm, perhaps an inauspicious combination?
