The shutoff was inspired by Mark Rudner's design. It's basically a line-pull shutoff, with the following advantages:

• the bellcrank is mounted internally, for aerodynamic cleanliness,
• the fuel line is external, for easy access and to keep the fuel away from the foam, and
• the pinchoff is quite close to the sprinkler, for quick action.
